3 days Samburu fly-in safari: Samburu is a dry semi arid thorny countryside. The reserve shares a border with Buffalo springs. The are both served by Ewaso Nyiro river. It is along this river that wildlife come to drink. In that case, it is the best place to start looking for wildlife.
The fact that it is a hot countryside, it is recommended to do early morning drive, followed by an afternoon drive when the temperatures go down. However, should you wish to spend more time in the field, you will have it.
Day 1: Nairobi –Samburu
Your flight from Nairobi departs in the morning. The flight takes about one hour. In Samburu you will find a Natural Track safari guide waiting for you. You will be introduced to this semi-arid national park while on your way to your hotel. After lunch you will do your first game drive around the reserve. Dinner and overnight your lodge in Samburu.
Day 2: Samburu
Spend the day exploring the reserve and its varied species of game. Samburu is semi-arid and some of the wildlife you meet here is adapted to such dry conditions. Samburu is a thorny-bush national reserve and is served by Ewaso Nyiro river. Overnight and all the meals at your Samburu lodge.
Day 3: Samburu – Nairobi
After breakfast you will be taken to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi.
