Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival: Nairobi-Mount Kenya
- Depending on arrival time, you will be picked from the airport and proceed to Mount Kenya region for overnight and a walk within Mount Kenya. Overnight at Serena Mountain lodge. (late arrivals will spend overnight in Nairobi)
Day 2: Mt Kenya –Kenya Holiday Safari to Samburu
- After morning breakfast, depart for Samburu National Park, driving through plantations of fields of Timau, crossing the thorny landscape of Samburu country. Pay attention to the presence of unique species such as Grevy’s Zebra, the long-necked Gerenuk, among the wildlife that shares this semi-arid habitat. Dinner and overnight your lodge in Samburu.
Day 3: Samburu
- Samburu is a hot semi arid country side. It is recommended that you do an early morning drive and return to the lodge for breakfast. Take the rest of the mid-day hours indoors or by the pool to cool of. In the afternoon, you will venture out again for another drive till 18.00hrs.
- Most of the drives are along the Ewaso river for obvious reasons, that animals come to drink. Or prefer the soft vegetation along the river. Overnight at your Samburu lodge.
Day 4 Samburu – Lake Nakuru
- Leave after breakfast and drive past the northern tip of the Aberdare Mountains to descend into the Great Rift Valley where Lake Nakuru is located. Visit the world famous bird sanctuary of Lake Nakuru National Park. Lunch and overnight at Nakuru lodge or camp.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru-Crescent-Lake Naivasha
- Lake Naivasha is one of the epitome of Kenya safaris and holiday tours. After breakfast, you will leave Nakuru town and head to Lake Naivasha, and check in at a Lake hotel in Naivasha.
- You have two activities here. A walk in Crescent island and a boat ride in the lake. You will start with a boat ride. In the afternoon after lunch, you will enjoy a walk at the Island. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Days 6: Lake Naivasha- Masai Mara
- Driving across the Great Rift Valley reaches Kenya’s most famous Game Reserve, Masai Mara, in time for lunch. Spend the days exploring the rolling hills and plains for a chance to spot black-maned lion, elephant, leopard, cheetah, and buffalo along with varied species of hoofed animals. Overnight at your Mara lodge or camp.
Day 7: Full day in Masai Mara
- Full day exploring the magnificent Masai Mara National reserve. Almost all Kenya safari holiday packages end up in the Masai Mara. It is therefore only reasonable to give this national reserve some justice by spending more time in it.
- You may plan with your guide to take picnic lunch and have more time out with Kenya wildlife. Alternatively, you can break day by coming back for lunch, and doing another safari in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at your Mara lodge or Camp.
Day 8: Masai Mara- Nairobi
- Depending on your other plans including international departure schedule, you may enjoy an early morning drive followed by breakfast. After breakfast proceed back to Nairobi for your outbound flight or other arrangements. *Your Kenya holiday safaris ends.
